Petite Jenny Skirt in Pink Ribbon Floral + Canvas Underskirt - Pinup Girl Clothing
Bumble Bee Purse - Dooney and Bourke (several years old)
TGIF! We're excited because after going from the first week of June to the last week of August without seeing each other, we get to see each other again this weekend! Twice in two weeks! YES! We don't talk about it much, but living 6 hours apart is tough with our busy schedules. Katie is the PR director of a legal marketing company and I'm a legal assistant/paralegal by day and go to law school at night so sometimes, we just can't make visits happen as much as we'd like which makes time together even sweeter.
As for our outfit choices, we decided to take the day to blog some of our recent purchases. I was really excited when Pinup Girl Clothing released the Petite Jenny Skirt - I'm only 4'10" so it saves me a trip to the seamstress and the pink ribbon floral print reminds me of Marie Antoinette! Switching up the post narrative a bit, I (Katie) am always on the hunt for 1960s pieces with amazing collars. There are so many companies who specialize in 1940s-50s clothing, but no one can really capture the magic that is polyester dresses. I know I'm probably alone in my love for them, but I absolutely love a good sturdy poly dress. This bold collar is the perfect place to put a good novelty brooch so obviously it's a win-win situation!
