We spent most of Autumn and Winter with our general aesthetic being influenced by the sweater girls of the 1940s and 1950s.  We will never pull the style off as well as Lana Turner and Jayne Mansfield, but we love putting our own spin on it (which is typically early 60's inspired).  We had a pretty difficult time finding modern sweaters that were tight enough since baggy, slouchy sweaters seem to be trendier and more common but, that's where The Oblong Box Shop comes in!  We saw a post on Instagram and were stoked to find that they stock a wide array of sweaters in varying lengths and colors to help us achieve our sweater girl goals.  Katie's sweater is cropped which goes great with high-waisted trousers or shorts and mine is a turtleneck style that I doubled over to be a little more petite-friendly.   We paired them with accents from Bows & Crossbones and a couple of our favorite novelty print bottoms.
