Sunday morning after drinking a few cups of coffee I decided that I should probably do something with my day. I decided to run a few errands and stop by my local antique mall. This antique mall is seriously huge, so it's an all day event for me to sift through everything. It's definitely one of those places were 1/2 of the stuff is junk, 1/4 is over-priced and then 1/4 of it actually interests me. I was going back to snag June and I matching vintage Minnie Mouse lunchboxes that I saw last time I was here, but sadly someone had bought them before I could get to them. Total bummer!
Shift and mini dresses have always been my favorite style, but my hourglass figure (and my hips) just seem to 'flow' better with swing dresses. It's difficult for me to find narrow dresses that fit my hips and my waist properly so I was pretty thrilled that this vintage 60s number from Mod & Fancy fit so well. Mod & Fancy is a shop I've known about for a while, because it's owner Shannon has been one of my favorite Instagram ladies for a long while now. Seriously, she's the cutest and girl can rock a mini-dress.

My two week "summer break" from law school started this week... YAAASSSSS. I'm enrolled in a non-traditional term since I work a full time job, and attend school at night, so I get winters off as opposed to summers... which is great for the holidays but little bit of a bummer. On the other hand, it makes me love this two week break even more! So, I set out for the day, grabbed an iced coffee with vanilla, went adventuring and stopped by the Nashville Tatyana Boutique to look at some pretties for an upcoming collaboration.
Also, this is our first time working with a vintage sponsor and I'm SO EXCITED! I think my wardrobe is probably exactly 1/2 true vintage and 1/2 vintage reproduction, so when someone we actually KNEW contacted us to to tell us she'd opened a vintage Etsy shop called Mod & Fancy, I was stoked. That someone is one of our online lady acquaintances, Shannon. The queen of looking awesome in shift dresses, the best comic recommendations + fellow cute cat mom; I couldn't be happier to support her vintage sellin' endeavor. This particular dress is circa the early '60s so I traded my normal red lipstick for a light pink and my normal short curls for long ones. Dear '60s hair, I'm coming for you.
