Small-town life isn't always the best for vintage enthusiasts.  With only one vintage clothing store and only a handful of antique stores, it's easy to get discouraged and take for granted what fun things are in the area.  One place that has always been a favorite of ours is The Pink Dipper.  The Pink Dipper has always been my (Katie's) go-to spot for ice cream for as long as I remember, and June and I make trips pretty often when she is in town.  It had been a while since our last visit and it was just as we remembered:  the ice cream was amazing and the service was awful.  Birthday cake, cotton candy and bubble gum are my go-to ice cream flavors, and June got peach, YAY PEACH SEASON.  Bring on the sugar and artificial flavoring!

Some days, I feel like I'm channeling my inner Loretta Lynn, and those days always involve big hair, longer dresses and a badass attitude.  This Floral Button Front Dress paired with my vintage magnolia brooch made me feel even more southern than I normally feel, which is something I always love.  Not to mention, June always inspires and encourages me to rock big hair.  Because it's a tea dress, this dress was definitely longer than the length we are used too, and for me to say that you know it has to be pretty long.  If you're  taller lady this is definitely a dress that you should try out, but I know June struggled a bit with the length.

  1. That ice cream shop is so cute! Sucks about the service though, that's the worst. Downtown Lakeland is seriously only like 3 blocks but there's a place called Pumpernaks that is only open on Saturdays. It's just one small room that is about 10'x10' and it is packed with vintage trinkets, purses, nicknacks, etc. Its so cute but I feel like a bull in a china shop hahaha

  5. Really beautiful dresses! Everything that Love Ur Look puts out makes me go weak in the knees. They really pay attention to the little details that turn a nice piece into a breathtaking one.

How do you guys feel about the PUG underskirt? Which color do you have and do you think it matters much since it's "underwear" anyway? I'm concerned about my hips like I know Katie is so I'm just curious if you think this adds to the volume in that area in a bad way? As for ice cream, I love flavors with chocolate bits in them, but also love a classic like Strawberry or Black Cherry. My favorite ice cream is from Rite Aid (formerly Thrifty's) which is a chain of convenience stores like CVS or Walgreens.

I LOVE those dresses! They are so great! Especially the floral one. One of my favourite local spots in my hometown is the Wheel-In Motor Movie. It's a drive-in movie theater with real 50's charm. It even still has the speakers to hang on your window!

  9. It really is! I feel so conflicted, because I love the shop's decor but it's totally not worth being treated crappy for. Ooooh that sounds cute, but I know I'd feel the same way! ahha

  11. It's such a cute shop, which makes it even more awful that the customer service is just soooo bad. You're the best <33

  15. I absolute love the PUG Underskirt. Amanda's is a little older so it's every so slightly different than mine so I'm just going to be talking about the newer version. Mine is the white, and I definitely think it matters if you wear more sheer tones. I think the black may show through certain fabrics. I don't think it adds volume in a bad way there. Mine sits on my waist above my hips so, and it doesn't really add negative volume there (just the general volume that you'd expect from a petticoat). I also like that it doesn't give me a tummy bulge like most petticoats do.

Yes! I love Rite Aid so much...really most drugstores, because I'm a weirdo.ha

  16. The prints are definitely super fun! That's amazing! We have a drive-in movie theater, but it's in the middle of no where and you tune your radio to the right station for the sound, but it's totally adorable.

Thanks so much for taking the time to respond to all my questions about the underskirt. It definitely sounds like a winner so I'll keep it on my wishlist in white. :)
