Crop Tops + Bikinis

Wednesday, May 13, 2015

I've never been a  big morning person, but lately I've really enjoyed waking up early and taking a morning walk while enjoying my coffee.  I always seem to notice so much more of my surroundings when I'm not in a hurry and I'm just walking for enjoyment.  This little area is one of my favorite places to sit before a busy day, because it's so peaceful.  It's especially nice lately since I've been so busy with work so it's been amazing to get this free time to myself.

I first fell in love with this crop top set from Unique Vintage in March when I saw it on my beautiful friend Ashley over at Southern (California) Belle.  The skirt features that same 1940s silhouette that I've been in love with lately and a crop top, which are my warm weather 'go-to's.  Seriously, bring on all the crop tops! I did have some issues getting this crop top to fit as tight as I would like since the back laces up, but next time I'll just make Michael help me lace it up. (:  I love separates, because even when the seasons start to change I'll be able to style the skirt with different tops to create new looks.

Aside from morning walks, I love spending my free time at the beach, lake or river.  Luckily, living on the border of Georgia and South Carolina I am located only a few hours from so many different bodies of water.  The closest is definitely the river, and it's where I have spent many days during Spring and Summer.  That being said, I love having fun swimsuits to wear while spending my days swimming.  I have yet to find a way for the Georgia humidity to not ruin my hair though while lounging around the lake.

What's your favorite outdoor Spring activity?

  2. Both of these are so adorable! I REALLY want a matching crop top and skirt, they look great! I told myself I wouldn't buy another bathing suit this year but the high waisted bottoms look so good and are more my style than a normal bikini. You look great!

  3. Hey, long time reader, first time commenter! I'm going to be in Seneca, SC, and we plan to hop over to Georgia for some shopping. Do you have any recommendations for vintage or repo shops? I'll be with my great aunt, who is quite the clothes hound, and would love to find some fun places!

  6. Cutes!! I love that little courtyard (?) area, seems very relaxing. It's always nice to find a place outside with enough shade to be able to enjoy the outdoor for more than 30 seconds :P

  8. I'm seriously addicted to wearing crop tops. It's already SO hot here so they're my favorite thing right now. Thank you so much! I can't pretend I wasn't insecure about being in it, but I love it so much.

  9. Thank you so much!! It's such a nice combo! The high waisted skirt makes the crop top less scandalous! Thank you! The high waisted bottoms are so comfy and flattering. Also, I feel way more secure that they won't fly off during a canon ball. ;)

  10. Hi Sarah!!

Thanks for reading and commenting, and I'm SO sorry for the late response. Hmm I suppose it would just depend on what part of Georgia you are going to be in. In Augusta, there honestly aren't many vintage or repro shops. Is there a specific area in Georgia where you will be? Feel free to email me at AmeliaJetson@gmail.com
