Cherries Jubilee /// GIVEAWAY

Tuesday, January 6, 2015

If you saw June's post on Monday, then you already know that we are hosting a fantastic giveaway.  Munster Madness offers fabrics in such a wide variety of prints, from retro to geek-chic, she does it all!  My heart beats faster just looking at all of those novelty prints.  To be the one lucky lady who wins a custom circle skirt be sure to enter at the end of the post.

I've lusted after this Michael Miller cherry fabric for such a long time.  I first noticed this print when Bernie Dexter had dresses made with the fabric in aqua and yellow.  It was an instant win for me, because it featured cherries and gingham.  Double-whammy of awesome.  When Anna of Munster Madness told me she had this available in black I was ecstatic!  The cherries were even mistaken for holly leaves since I was wearing this skirt around the holidays.

I had originally planned on spending time with my mother-in-law while we fixed some broken zippers and fallen hems on a few of my old dresses.  I was fully prepared for a productive day of eating pizza and sewing.  Unfortunately, instead of getting to do that I went to take care of Michael who came down with the stomach bug...and then proceeded to give me the stomach bug.  That bad luck doesn't tarnish how much I love this skirt!  There is seriously nothing better than a custom made skirt for your body.  It's also definitely the cutest I've looked in days, because I'm rocking pajamas and bedhead until I'm better.
