I have this problem where I buy 589476984576 skirts and then my top-to-skirt ratio is incredibly screwed up and I end up wearing the same handful of shirts, rinse + repeat style. Because my default lazy day wear usually consists of a circle skirt + top, I've started to realize lately that I need to sell off some dresses and skirts and add some pieces up top to make up for my deficit.
I've had my eye on the Ella Top in Atomic Cats! Print (the exclamation point is included in the actual style name - as it very well should be any time cats come into the equation). I own the Ella Top in a yellow bee print already (Amelia wore the blue bee print here) and love the pussy bow, the fit and the fact that it buttons all the way up the front so, on the off chance that I've actually manage to get something good going on with my hair on any given day, I don't have to pull a shirt over it. The fact that it's now offered in 2 different prints involving cats... icing on the cake.
I actually ran all of my wedding errands in this dress and while I was in Joann's, got asked my several ladies if I'd made it myself. I feel like that says something about the fit + quality of the dresses that seasoned seamstresses were stopping to ask me questions like that. The dress spawned several interesting conversations.
I assembled some of my favorite novelty prints by Heart of Haute to show some of the amazing-ness they offer in dresses, if you haven't entered the dress giveaway yet, here's some motivation!
