Babymax Wedges c/o Restricted Shoes | Bow Lapel Pin - Match Accessories

Amanda: Abigail Dress in Red Stars c/o Emily and Fin | Day Breaker Heels c/o Restricted Shoes
Estelle Top in Cherry Print c/o Heart of Haute  |  Black Beret - Amazon

Since it's officially December, it means it's acceptable for us to start pretending like it's Christmas, right? Just a whole month of Christmas.  If you know Amanda at all (or follow her on Instagram), you know that she's already decorated her house in all of our amazing mid-century Christmas goodies.  My cats do not approve of Christmas trees aka they eat them so, we don't get to decorate too much in my household, which makes Christmas-y outfits even more special!

We love this winter inspired Emily and Fin dresses.  The Abigail is a style we love year-round but we were pleasantly surprised at how well it worked as a jumper with a shirt underneath. The dresses also paired perfectly with some of the new heels we received from Restricted Shoes.  We always love seeing their new collections also because Restricted Shoes offers cute shoes that are amazing quality which is so important to us, because we are hell on our shoes... tripping on your own feet all the time is tough.  We also have a 25% off sitewide discount to share with you ladies.

Now, Prancer Brooch c/o Erstwilder  |  Black Beret - Amazon

Cherry Brooch - Luxulite | Black Hansel Heels - BAIT Footwear | Pearl Purse - The Pink Collar Life

We hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and had fun shopping over the weekend!  Although Amanda came to Georgia for Thanksgiving, we didn't get to spend too much time together as I was in Florida.  However, we were able to squeeze in a much needed coffee date!  Something about coffee dates when it's cold outside makes them seem so much more whimsical. <3 We also found a new spot in our hometown for coffee which is saying something... because it's small.

Usually, Thanksgiving for me means laying around in my pajamas all day, watching football, but this year I actually managed to get dressed and motivated to go do things.  These weren't our Thanksgiving outfits but, we think they're perfect examples of comfy pre-jacket weather fall dresses.  Y'all know we love plaid all year long, but dark, rich red plaids like the Trudy Dress in Red Plaid are some of our all-time favorites.  We also cannot say more positive things about the Black Seville Floral Half Sleeve Hepburn Swing Dress.  The floral print pops so well against the dark background, and the shape is, as always, flattering.  We have a huge love for 3/4 sleeve dresses year round because they're perfect for the office so, we'll be stocking up while we can!

Amsterdam

Brida the Botanical Brooch c/o Erstwilder | Orange Hair Scarf - Vintage | Flats - Similar

Wooden Flower Brooch - vintage (similar)  |  Brown Leve Flat - Amazon

A few weeks ago, we were talking about how perfect it would be to have dresses or skirts featuring the houses along the canals in Amsterdam and... here they are!  These skirts popped up at just the right time to bring a little cheer to the colder days.  These picturesque skirts from Miss Fortune are made to order so we both chose the length and waist size we wanted (always a bonus since Katie likes things a bit shorter and I like things a bit longer).  They have a stealthy little pocket big enough to fit our cell phone... or in our case a camera lens cap, lipstick, a comb and a remote. haha.

The batwing tops are the perfect, super comfy soft top.  They feature a batwing sleeve, which makes them a little more unique than other slash neck tops and will also add some diversity to your closet if you wear mostly slash or boatneck style tops in the winter like we do.  We really love the thick jersey material for these cooler temperatures and they make a great base layer (it was 31 degrees outside when I took these photos, temperature approved, I did eventually put on a jacket).

Palava

Monday, November 21, 2016

Amanda:  Irene Dancers Dress in Teal c/o Palava  |  Tiny Dancer Brooch c/o Deer Arrow
Hansel Heels - BAIT Footwear  |

Katie:  Irene Dancers Dress in Mustard c/o Palava | Tiny Dancer Brooch c/o Deer Arrow

We hope y'all had an amazing weekend!  If you're thinking these designs seem similar, but the name doesn't, you'd be right!  Trademark issues acted as a catalyst for PoppyEngland to become Bryony and Co... and after more trademark problems they've now re-branded again as Palava.  Now that the name change confusion is out of the way, we can get to the fun part!

We love Palava because of their adorable, one-of-a-kind prints and classic dress shapes, especially this new Irene silhouette.  This is a company that pays so much attention to detail, we're always impressed, from the cute contrasting belts (which are reversible) to the lining of the dress, nothing is overlooked and they always have pockets.

We both went for the UK6 this time although Katie is usually in between sizes because of her bust measurement.  Although she loves the fit of the waist in this style, she thinks sizing up is best for bustier ladies.  I love the fit but I'm about a 34 bust (it was a bit snug) and Katie is 35-36.  We thought the length was a fun for all heights, it'll be below the knee (or right at it) on petite ladies and above the knee on taller ladies.  It also looks cute worn as a skirt with a cardigan buttoned over it, I know because I ran to the store in it when it was 50 degrees out and thought they paired nicely together.
